Seeing Conditions |
|
Seeing conditions this year have not let me get a decent image of Jupiter or Saturn. Last year I bought a second hand Toucam Pro webcam and took my best ever Jupiter image, and thought that at this years opposition I would be able to get an even better image.
Unfortunately so far that has not been the case, and I believe it is due to bad seeing conditions. As I only image from my suburban location I don't really know how good or bad my seeing conditions are. So here is a video of 250 frames taken through a 10" LX200 at a resolution of 0.4 arc seconds per pixel (prime focus plus a little for extension tubes).
Click on the image to download the movie (258Kb) and let me know what you think the seeing conditions are out of 10. Thanks.
